📲 Could Posting Once a Week Transform Your Career?
UPDATE: I'm closing enrollment for the Pro Group this week, so this is your last chance to join us before we reopen in 4-6 months. Click here to learn more about the program, who it's for/not for, and how we'll work together to help you level up your composing career.
If I could poing to one thing that had the most positive, transformational impact on my career as an artist, it'd be making videos on YouTube.
By sticking with YouTube for nearly 20 years, I've been able to grow an audience of 100k+ subscribers, demonstrate my art and expertise through 400+ videos, and build a business I can run from anywhere in the world with a little gear (and some decent WiFi).
And yet...
When I share this transformation with other composers in my industry, I hear the same excuses over and over again.
It usually goes something like:
"I wish I could post more videos, BUT..."
• "I don't have the time"
• "I hate filming myself"
• "I can't balance art and content"
• "I don't like editing videos"
Listen ⎯ I get it.
Social media isn't for everyone. Public speaking isn't for everyone. Storytelling and personal branding isn't for everyone.
But if you're a professional composer who wants to get serious about optimizing your career for personal freedom and creative fulfillment, I still believe that using social media to share yourself and your work is the number one way to get there longterm.
That's why this week, I'm sharing my recent interview with my friend Aurelie (MusicByPLV), in which I discuss:
• 😰 How to overcome the "red light" fear of recording yourself on camera
• 🔋 How to leverage your energy to make posting feel effortless
• 🧲 How to optimize your content to attract your dream clients
• 👋 How to develop a personal brand that builds trust w/ your audience
