Last week, I spent four amazing days with my good friends Robert Rodriguez, Aurelie Couble (MusicbyPLV), Cheska Navarro, and our respective partners in beautiful Kalispell, Montana.
(If you don't know these folks, check them out - we've run a private group mastermind together to exchange business insights throughout 2024.)
Kalispell was clearly a well-kept secret in the states, as the nearby lakes, mountains, and hiking paths felt completely private - as if they were there for us and us alone.
During the trip, we did a ton of awesome activites including:
🚣 Watersports on Foys Lake
(A bald eagle swooped over our heads as we were coming back)
🔥 S'mores and Stargazing
(Aurelie gave s'mores a 6/10.)
🥾 Hiking in Lone Pine State Park
(There was a cool witch-like hut there that'll definitely find its way in my upcoming album.)
🏎️ UTVs up Aurora Doris Ridge
(Insane views, and an equally insane amount of dust in my hair)
BUT...
What was most incredible was finally connecting in person with a tight group of composers and entrepreneurs that I've only ever interacted with during our monthly group Zoom calls.
Not only are these folks incredibly kind people - they're insanely wise.
I can't overstate the exchange of wisdom and love we shared in just a few short days.
I was so inspired that I spent the entire flight back filling my journal with my thoughts and revelations.
But of all the things I wrote down on the plane ride back, the greatest lesson I remembered was this:
Nothing matches the power and support that comes from a collective of like-minded artists you can call your friends.
With a group like that, your dreams become manifest through conversation.
Your fears and burdens are shared to lighten your load.
Your dormant instincts and intuitions spark to life.
And your heart is filled with joy and love.
Do yourself a favor and don't try to do everything by yourself. Experience the joy of a creative community at least once in your life, and watch what incredible things begin to happen.
