📖 How to Build a Brand, Not Just a Business (feat. Chris Do)

Chris is an artist, educator, and co-founder of The Futur, a channel with career advice that has been absolutely invaluable in the growth of my personal business as a composer.
In this interview with Chris, I was drawn to his encouragement on “building a story brand”:
A “story brand” is the difference between you sharing how you WANT people to see you…
… versus sharing how (and who) you truly ARE.
That means sharing your failures.
That means sharing your insecurities.
That means sharing your weaknesses.
That means sharing your doubts.
Because these core fears are ACTUALLY the very things that make you relatable to your audience.
They’re the things that bond you to the people who discover you.
(It’s also something I’m keen to explore more in the newsletter and on my YouTube channel this year, so keep an eye out for that 🙂)
So this week, my challenge to you is to share a WEAKNESS about yourself in a public setting.
Own your shadow.
By owning it, you’ll make peace with it AND you’ll likely inspire someone else dealing with the same weaknesses as you.
